Skorrd is a tool for eBay sellers, operated by Steve Ford as a sole proprietor in Tennessee, United States. This policy describes exactly what the service collects, where it goes, and what is done with it. It describes the software as it actually works today — not a superset written to cover things that might be added later.
| Data | Why it exists |
|---|---|
| Your account — email address, a hashed password, and the invite code you signed up with | To sign you in and to know which invite was spent. The password is stored as a one-way hash; nobody at Skorrd can read it. |
| Your eBay connection — OAuth access and refresh tokens, your eBay seller username, and the IDs of your eBay business policies | To create, edit and end listings on your behalf. The tokens are encrypted at rest. They are what lets Skorrd act on your eBay account, which is why disconnecting eBay is worth doing if you stop using the service. |
| Your listing and inventory data — photos you upload, titles, descriptions, prices, categories, item specifics, SKUs, quantities, costs, storage locations, and sale records | This is the substance of the product. It is your business data. |
| Your settings — SKU prefix and starting number, ship-from city, and your seller branding | To generate listings that look like yours. |
| Failed sign-in attempts — the email tried and the IP address it came from | To rate-limit password guessing. These records exist for security and are not used for anything else. |
Three companies, for three specific reasons. There are no others.
| Who | What reaches them | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Anthropic | The photos of an item and the text about it | Skorrd sends them to Claude to draft a title, description, category and item specifics. This is the AI step you see when a listing is generated. |
| eBay | Your listings, your photos, and your account and policy data | To publish and manage listings. eBay's own privacy policy governs what they do with it once it is on their platform. |
| Railway | Everything, at rest | Railway hosts the application and the database. Servers are in the United States. |
No system is perfect, and Skorrd is beta software run by one person. This is an honest description of the measures in place, not a guarantee against every possible failure.
Account, listing and inventory data is kept for as long as your account exists, because it is the record of your business. Failed sign-in records are kept only as long as they are useful for throttling. If you ask for your account to be deleted, your account and its data are removed; listings already published on eBay belong to your eBay account and are unaffected.
Skorrd is a tool for running a selling business and is not intended for anyone under 18.
If what the software does changes, this page is updated and the date at the top changes with it. Material changes will be communicated directly, since the number of people using Skorrd is small enough for that to be practical.
